Our good friend David Bash from the International Pop Overthrow out of LA, called today. Normally we don’t partake in the concert series, because The Jardines is an alt country band, but one of his bands cancelled and because he’s such a good friend, we’ll step in and fill the slot for him
So if you want to see some great music , come down to the Railway Club on Wed Aug 25th, we’re on at 11:30 for a short set!!
See you there and have a great summer!!!

with great sadness and joy
July 27th, 2010
I’m so sad to say that my dear friend Karl Watt passed away last Tuesday night. The fundraiser that I have been working on with a wonderful group of his friends is now a celebration of his life. Karl Watt will be remembered tomorrow night at the Yale Hotel from 6-9 pm. Musical groups include Jonathan Todd, Johnny DeMarco, The Jardines and Stonebolt
A huge thank you to all the friends, family of Karl and our fans that will be coming out to support Karls family. Karl was my drummer in my solo Cherelle Jardine project from 2005 to 2006. After he got sick, he had to stop drumming. ALS took everything from him, including his life. He is missed by a score of people, tons of musicians that he played with as well as his friends and family. You can still get tickets at the door, all proceeds go to help his family with their huge medical expenses.
Peace and love to everyone. Please love as hard as you can and tell people you love them. I’m so happy that I got that last chance to tell Karl before he passed.

Next show Benefit night organized for Knightsbridge residents
June 16th, 2010
Our next show will be next weekend, using our love of music to help our community. This is the press release from the Richmond Review with details
Local Artists stepping up to help 3 families who lost everything in a fire at Knightsbridge townhouse complex on Cambie Rd last month
Mother-daughter singing duo The Jardines, Garth Bowen, The Spooncutters, teenage artist Jad Ardat and others will be participating in the Knightsbridge Family Benefit Night on Friday, June 25 at Fraserview MB Church, 11295 Mellis Dr.
The evening, organized by East Richmond Community Association’s Alexis Alblas, will feature performances and displays by local artists, a silent auction, a 50:50 draw and include a coffee bar.
“I organized this event for a number of reasons,” Alblas wrote in an e-mail. “I know two of the families (or children) personally. Also, a friend of mine last year had a fire in her kitchen…and I saw the struggle she had. And they had insurance. This family was out of their home for four months and still have not recouped all their losses.”
Alblas said she posted a request on Facebook for performers, and it didn’t take long for five musical acts to sign up.
The fun starts at 7 p.m., and all monies raised will go to support the families.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students ages 13 to 18. Children 12 and under are by donation.
While tickets will be available at the door, they can also be purchased in advance at Cambie Community Centre, 12800 Cambie Rd. (604-233-8299), at Fraserview MB Church (604-270-4211), or at McNeely, Cambie and Tait schools.
Tickets are also available by calling 604-233-8376 or e-mailing aalblas@richmond.ca
For those wanting to help the families but can’t attend the benefit night, they are urged to purchase a gift card for them at Shoppers Drug Mart, Real Canadian Superstore, Zellers, Old Navy or IKEA.
A trust fund has also been set up at Coast Capital Savings Credit Union (Membership No. 5963215).
